THE SIN OF IMMODESTY
Our
Loving God created man and woman for a beautiful purpose of
life-long companionship and procreation. Like every beautiful thing
God created, if used contrary to God’s holy purpose, it becomes ugly
and destructive.
The Bible says,
“A
beautiful woman that is without modesty is like a jewel in a swine’s
snout.”
Men and women who dress to publicly display their body or shape in a
suggestive or provocative way, either by unnecessarily showing skin
or shape, are taking something God designed for a holy purpose and
making it the very tool of Satan to destroy society.
Why the divorce
rate? What part could
you
be playing in the promotion of fornication, adultery, rape, incest,
pornography, prostitution, divorce, children in broken homes, and
even drug and alcohol abuse
God promises
hell-fire to
all who misuse his creation for selfish and unholy
purposes even if they claim to be Christians. He only forgives
those who repent, forsake their sin, and submit to all the teachings
of Jesus Christ.
Public immodesty cheapens you and robs you of respect - only the
ungodly like you that way. Dressing immodestly is hunting for
ungodly attention, and producing ungodly attraction. You are asking
to be used and hurt by selfish people. You will never find true
love and companionship unless you follow God’s design for His
creation. God’s way is ALWAYS best - His obedient children enjoy
daily what others vainly seek after.
